ANIME TOWER DEFENSE RPG

A stylized anime tower defense RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world where players command legendary Virtuosos and deploy genre-based strategies against the corrupted forces of the Maestro.

A narrative 2D puzzle-based game that tells the story of Billy, a newcomer who takes up the challenge to liven up the mood of his dull and droll corporate office.

CONTRIBUTIONS

As the producer / indie developer, my responsibilities include leading the project direction, designing gameplay systems and mechanics, developing gameplay features, and establishing the worldbuilding and combat identity of the game.

• Led the project development roadmap, gameplay direction, and production planning
• Define the project scope, gameplay pillars, and long-term franchise direction
• Create the worldbuilding, themes, terminology, and narrative framework of the Virtuosos
• Develop gameplay systems for tower deployment, character progression, abilities, and RPG mechanics
• Implement gameplay prototypes, combat systems, UI flows, and progression structures in Unity
• Develop scalable systems for live-service style content expansion, including characters, stages, equipment, and events
• Coordinate collaboration across narrative, audio, art, and development to maintain a cohesive project vision

As the newcomer at a seemingly dull and droll corporate office, players will engage in conversations with their colleagues and perform simple everyday tasks given to them. Upon progressing through the tasks, the player advances the narrative as they liven up the mood of their colleagues and the office.

Built upon an evocative architecture, the narrative utilizes the stigma of life in a corporate job as mundane and uneventful. Players start off their first day of work by entering the office, a monotonous environment represented by a monochromatic world. Through the concept of colors of life, the world fills up with vibrant colors as players interact and help their coworkers to express themselves and regain their colors.
